How we work

Experienced engineers, clear responsibilities, results checked together.

We fit in with our client's existing processes and build every project on the same principles.

Our principles

What we keep to on every project

01

You talk to the engineers

From the first conversation, you work with the people who build the system. There is no intermediary between your questions and the answers.

02

We agree up front who is responsible for what

At the start we set out what our job is, what your team's job is, and when the work counts as done.

03

We work in your systems

With your tools, in your codebase, to your processes and security rules – not in a parallel world.

04

We check the results together

Measurable acceptance criteria, automated tests, joint review.

05

The knowledge stays with you

We hand over with documentation, joint work and training, so your team can take it forward on its own.

06

We don't make empty promises

We don't promise multiples of speed-up without our own measurements. What we commit to, we commit to specifically and accountably.

01 — Who you talk to

Directly with the engineers

You talk to the people who build the system – there is no layer of project managers or sales people in between.

02 — Working together

Together with your team

We work with your tools, in your codebase and to your processes, so your team can carry the work forward.

03 — Review

Faster with AI, checked by people

We use AI for design, development and testing, but an engineer reviews every change.

04 — Handover

Handed over so you can take it forward

We agree in advance when the work is done. At the end you get documentation and training.

AI in development

We use AI at every step of development, but an engineer checks every result.

AI has made writing code much faster. That has shifted the focus of a project: today, success depends most on the preparation.

Code gets written faster, so the focus point has moved to preparation.
Project timeline →
  • Our developers join at the preparation stage: rather than receiving a finished specification, they help shape it.
  • We work out the requirements and the outline of the solution with our client in joint workshops.
  • Our technology experts play a leading role in these workshops, so technical risks and constraints surface early.
  • We use AI tools at every stage, but an engineer checks every result before it moves on.

An important distinction: this is how we work. The AI applications we build for you are a separate service – we cover that on the AI Applications & Integration page. AI Applications & Integration

Ways to work together

Choose what fits your situation

A —

Team extension

Our experienced engineers join your existing team, under your direction and to your processes.

When it fits: You have an in-house team and leadership, but lack capacity or specialist knowledge.

Who leads: Your team; we are responsible for professional quality.

Billing: Based on effort.

B —

Dedicated team

An established SCALER team with its own technical lead, for one product or area, working closely with your team.

When it fits: A whole area or product needs ongoing development.

Who leads: Jointly; we provide the technical leadership.

Billing: Based on effort, monthly.

C —

Scoped project

We take on a pipeline, integration or AI feature in full, with handover criteria agreed in advance.

When it fits: The goal is well defined, and you are looking for a team that will see it through.

Who leads: We do; we are responsible for both delivery and handover.

Billing: Based on effort or a fixed price.

How do we start?

The first steps

01

Conversation

30 minutes with one of our experienced engineers about a specific problem. Not a sales pitch.

02

Discovery

We look at the relevant systems, data and constraints – in a short assessment if needed.

03

Proposal

We write down what we will take on, with what team, who is responsible for what, and when the work counts as done.

04

Start

We join your team and regularly review progress together.

The first step

Bring a specific data or AI problem.

In 30 minutes, one of our experienced engineers talks through the situation with you and what it would take to solve it. Not a sales pitch.

Data platform and AI feasibility assessment

For one selected business need, we look at which data and integrations are needed, what is missing, and in what steps it makes sense to deliver it.

Enterprise knowledge search or impact analysis

We deliver one well-defined use case, with data sources, access rights and quality expectations agreed in advance.
